Paion

Paion, a German biotech firm, plans to be listed on the Frankfurt stock exchange. Its lead candidate, in trials as a treatment for stroke, uses a protein derived from bat saliva to stop blood clotting. The drug, desmoteplase, has recieved fast track status from the FDA and is being licensed to Forest Laboratories.
